Frequently asked questions

YouTube in 1080p

Why do I not see 1080p in my video?

The resolutions offered are the ones of the original upload. A video uploaded in 720p has no 1080p version.

Does the 1080p file keep 60 fps?

Yes, if the video was uploaded at 60 fps the 1080p version keeps that frame rate.

What format is the file?

H.264 video with AAC audio when YouTube has it, which plays on practically everything.
