How it works

Three steps, no hassle

Reddit serves the picture and the sound of a video as two separate files, which is why saving it from the browser gives a mute clip. The extension and the app download both and join them on your device.

In the post, tap Share and copy the link (reddit.com/r/… or a short redd.it link).
Paste it in the Android app or click the extension icon on the post page.

Why do Reddit videos download without sound?

Because v.redd.it stores video and audio separately. Tools that take only the video file leave the sound behind; SaveAllVid fetches both tracks.

Does it work with GIFs and videos that have no audio?

Yes. If the post has no sound track, the video is saved as it is.

Can I download a video from a private or NSFW community?
